Patients who are considered to be home bound, what this means is that due to some illness or possible injury, it may be difficult to leave the comfort of their home and may need assistance of another individual or with a wheelchair, walker, crutches etc., or your Physician may believe that leaving your home can be harmful to you.  Or you may need assistance  to go to Health Care appointments/treatments or even a particular religious service to include therapeutics or even special events, such as funeral, reunions or more.  It is possible if a patient is able to drive they may not meet the homebound requirement. A patient whose condition becomes worse, may require Skilled Nursing Care or Physical Therapy, speech Therapy or OT.
